CNC machined from solid black acrylic, these replace the innaccurate molded-in grills of the 1/350 Polar Lights Refit Enterprise kit. Rather than shallow indentations, the grill's channels have been cut to the appropriate scale depth to more closely match those of the studio model. A little known fact about the refit studio model is that the exterior grills were not, in fact, black. They had a brushed aluminum finish. The beauty of the replacement part's deeply engraved channels is they allow the grill to be painted with the proper aluminum finish without becoming a solid silver mass. The contrast between the grills' metallic face and dark channels can add a striking enhancement to the appearance of your model. Set of two.
